Over the weekend there’s been lots of discussion on Facebook and Twitter about whether tragedies in the West are seen as more important and therefore given more attention than tragedies in developing countries. Kenya is being used as an example 147 people were killed this year when militants attacked a university in Garissa, in the north east. To discuss this we were joined by Elaha Walizadeh, an outreach worker at the Iranian & Kurdish women’s right organisation in London and Nadene Ghouri Freelance journalist and author.
